Daily Dog Breed from The DOG Table is the Sloughi from the Miscellaneous Class
“The Sloughi is a medium-sized, smooth-coated, athletic sighthound. An ancient breed, it is treasured in North Africa for its hunting skills, speed, agility, and endurance over long distances. The breed is noble and somewhat aloof, with a gentle, melancholy expression. This “Arabian Greyhound’s” short coat comes in all shades of light sand (cream) to mahogany red fawn, with or without brindling and black markings, as well as sand or brindle with a black mantle.”

The dogs that are in the Miscellaneous Class of the AKC will be added to The Dog Table this summer.
The AKC Miscellaneous Class includes breeds that the AKC show a interest in and see that activity exists that a breed is continuing a healthy, dynamic growth. Once this is satisfied, the breed may be admitted to registration in the Stud Book and the opportunity to compete in regular classes.
