Daily Dog Breed from The DOG Table is the Deutscher Wachtelhund from the Foundation Stock Service Class

“The German Spaniel, also known as the Deutscher Wachtelhund, is a breed of dog that was developed in Germany around 1890, and is used as a hunting dog. The Deutscher Wachtelhund is an exceptional versatile gun dog.  They are used to hunt upland game, will match the retrieving ability of any other breed, excel at tracking and blood trailing large game. They are all round bird dogs and will hunt all other types of game. They also have a vibrant friendly personality, are intelligent, aggressive hunters, and love water work.”

The Foundation Stock Service Breeds of the AKC will be added to The Dog Table this summer.

Each of the following breeds has been accepted for recording in the AKC Foundation Stock Service . The AKC provides this service to allow these purebred breeds to continue to develop while providing them with the security of a reliable and reputable avenue to maintain their records. FSS breeds are not eligible for AKC registration. Several of the FSS breeds are approved to compete in AKC Companion Events.
